The municipal Chief Executive for Mfantseman in the central region of Ghana hon.Henry kweku Hayfron yestarday donated fourteen pieces of Jerseys and a football to newly founded ladies football team mfantseman royal ladies FC at his residence in saltpond.
Presenting the items, the MCE said the donation is his widow’s might contribution towards the upliftment of women’s football in the country.
He expressed his delight that his municipality can now boast of a female football club even though they are yet to taste the division one league
Shaibu Issaka, the team manager who received the items on behalf of the club expressed his profound appreciation to the hon MCE for the gesture and pledged his commitment towards the upbringing of the club to a level that will bring joy and fame to the good people of the mfantseman municipality but like Oliver Twist he asked for more.
Mfantseman royal ladies is a new female football team being put together by the central regional chairperson of the women’s league board who is also a sports tutor at mfantseman Girls SHS and erstwhile secretary and PRO of Elmina Bafana ladies FC.
